A return to the Premier League could be on the cards for Ademola Lookman, as the reigning African Footballer of the Year has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Inter Milan recently pulled out of the race to sign Lookman after failing to meet Atalanta’s €50 million valuation for the winger.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, several Premier League clubs have become alert following Inter’s withdrawal from the potential deal for the Super Eagles star.
Despite Mikel Arteta’s satisfaction with his current squad, Romano hinted that Arsenal could take advantage of the situation.
“For example, let’s see what happens at Arsenal,” Romano said.
“Arsenal are very happy with the current attacking lineup.
“In terms of age, Lookman might not be the type of player Arsenal usually sign, but perhaps if Trossard decides to leave in the final weeks, this could be an opportunity. So, let’s see what happens.”
