Portuguese Primeira Liga giants Benfica have expressed strong interest in signing Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from KRC Genk.

Arokodare, 24, has been linked with several top European clubs following his impressive campaign in the Belgian Pro League during the 2024/2025 season.

The Super Eagles forward, who has earned two international caps, netted 21 goals in the league, securing the top scorer award.

Belgian news outlet Voetbalkrant reports that Benfica are eyeing a summer transfer for Arokodare, with Genk reportedly open to offloading the striker if the right offer comes in.

Arokodare, formerly of Amiens, has a market value of €13 million, according to Transfermarkt.
