Tough draws for Super Eagles stars in English League Cup

Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi’s Nottingham Forest will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the quarter-final of the League Cup.

Awoniyi was in superb form for Steve Cooper’s side in the 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.

Following the victory, Forest have now been drawn to face Wolverhampton for a place in the last four.

Nottingham Forest will welcome Wolves to the City Ground while Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi with Leicester City will face Newcastle United.

Joe Aribo and his Southampton teammates will also lock horns with reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City.

The quarter-finals will take place in the week commencing 9 January.
