Nigeria soccer fans have reacted to the latest news of the sacking of German manager Thomas Tuchel by Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea on Wednesday, September 7, parted ways with the former Paris Saint Germain manager following the Blues' 1–0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in their opening Champions League fixture.

Tuchel's sacking was announced in a statement published on the club's website.

The statement added that the club will appoint a new coach to fill the vacant role.

Meanwhile, some sections of Nigerian football fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the latest news.

Many fans have disagreed with the decision calling it “too early”.

A Facebook user Austin Deko wrote, “As a Man Utd fan, There is no reason to sack him now looking at the table. What a joke”

Enyichukwu Chris said, “Too early na Why this rash decision”

Ani Fran Paulson Prayz wrote, “So sad to see Tuchel leave though, he hasn't been doing enough for the club. It could be personal, but he need to rest”

DjMagnet Anthony added, “Sacking the manager after 2 games the window closed and giving him almost his every target? Now asking a new manager to work with a team he didn’t ask for? Where’s the sense?”

George Ewa also said,“Too early! He's a good coach.”

“Am not a Chelsea fan but he doesn't deserve a sack!,” Fah Fas said.

Tuchel signed an 18-month contract with Chelsea in January 2021 taking over from Frank Lampard.

He won the UEFA Champions League with the Blues that season. He also won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
