Tom Dele-Bashiru is happy to return to full fitness after spending four months on the sideline with injury.

Dele-Bashiru saw action for his club Watford against Hull City on Sunday.

The 23 year-old was handed his first start under manager Slaven Bilic and was unlucky not to earn the Hornets three points in the game.

The midfielder explained what Bilic asked of him before the fixture and how much he enjoys playing under the Croatian.

“He just asked me to play my game, enjoy it and try to get on the ball and make things happen. In the first half, when I got on the ball I thought I was good, but I needed to be on the ball a bit more.

“Slaven Bilic is a great manager. It has been a difficult start because I had my injury at the beginning of the season, but I’ve been working hard, training well and I’m grateful for the opportunity and I hope to keep my place in the team.

“It was disappointing not to get the three points today (Sunday), but we know that we created plenty of chances in the second half and we should’ve won the game, so we will take that and the positives into the next game,” he concluded.
