Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has sent a message to Chelsea ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers' Carabao Cup clash against the Blues on Wednesday, October 29.

Wolves will welcome Enzo Maresca's side to Molineux Stadium for the League Cup fourth-round clash.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after suffering defeats in the Premier League last weekend.

Wolves endured a 3-2 loss to Burnley, while newly promoted Sunderland stunned Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The Old Gold will be aiming to secure their second win of the season against the West London club to turn their campaign around.

Arokodare believes a win against Maresca's side could be the turning point.

“Getting the win against a team like Chelsea would be a huge confidence boost for us, because it would send a message to other teams,” the 24-year-old told the club's official website.

“It also sends a message to us in our heads mentally — if you can beat a team like Chelsea, then you can obviously do it in the league too.

“So, we're going to focus on trying to get the win, and then change our focus back to the league, because the game after Chelsea is a very important game too.”
