Nigerian beach soccer legend Abu Azeez has described late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Joshua, better known as Prophet T.B Joshua as a good man.

The country woke on Sunday morning to the tragic news as several sources claim the SCOAN founder had died.

Confirming the report, the church took to their Facebook Page to disclose that the death was sudden as he passed away on Saturday night in Lagos after concluding a programme.

In a post on the Facebook page of T.B Joshua ministries, the church said the cleric spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting.

The statement said:

"God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for."

His last words were: “Watch and pray.”

The famous cleric is being mourned over the world as church members, friends and well-wishers take to social media to applaud him for a life well spent.

Reacting to the tragic news, Nigerian Beach Soccer legend Abu Azeez narrated how TB Joshua once assisted him at a time his international passport was seized.

He further stated that the cleric once handed him $3,000.

He said in a Tweet: “I couldn’t join my team mates in Dubai because my passport was seized and about to be destroyed at the Italian embassy.

"TB Joshua sent his PA to make one call; I got my passport next day, ‘Baba’ bought another ticket for me, gave me money, used his escort to take me to the airport."

Azeez who was named the Beach Soccer team captain in 2019, is the first and only Nigerian player to reach a century of goals.

He added: “In 2012, my coach jokingly told TB Joshua he doesn’t have a car, he travelled that night to Dubai. I was to join the team few days later because of my passport issues, the man of GOD gave me 3k dollars to deliver.”
