Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala won the Pichichi award for the leading scorer in the Spanish Liga F.

The Nigerian international, Asisat Oshoala, who has been impressive so far for the Barcelona Femeni grabbed the award with other stars in a ceremony in Barcelona yesterday, December 21.

Recall that the Nigerian striker was placed 16th in the final 20 shortlist of the 2022 women’s Ballon d’or award.

Also, the Nigerian forward broke the record of winning African Player of the Year for a record fifth time, adding to her previous wins in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.

The 28-year-old and Real Madrid’s Geyse Ferreira tied for the league’s top goal scorer in May after each player scored 20 goals during the league’s regular season.
