KRC Genk forward, Paul Onuachu made his first appearance of the 2022/2023 season on Sunday, August 14 after being side-lined for six weeks due to injury.

Onuachu suffered an adductor injury during Genk's pre-season clash against FC Utrecht in early July.

The Nigerian international missed Genk's first three Belgium Pro League games but returned to action as a 72nd-minute substitute during their clash against Zulte Waregem.

Genk recorded their first away win of the new season with a 4-1 victory.

With the departure of his fellow countryman, Cyriel Dessers, Onuachu has the sole responsibility of leading the Genk attack for yet another season.

Onuachu scored 23 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions for Genk last season.
