Super Eagles striker builds modern day dressing room for local team that produced him

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi who plays for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League has won the heart of many fans after he successfully built a modern-day dressing room for Sheikh Abdulkadir College, Adewole, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Many players who started with Awoniyi are still training on the pitch with the team now known Unicorn Academy as the named changed after they affiliated with the Kwara State Football Association.

It is on the College's pitch that Awoniyi's local team in Ilorin uses for their training on a daily basis, and it was there that the former Liverpool striker was discovered before moving to Olofinjana's Academy.

According to an exclusive interview Sports Brief conducted for Awoniyi, he explained that there are many things he is still planning to do at the place his local team uses for training.

Awoniyi plans to lay artificial grass

"Everyone know that it was on that pitch that I started my football career and I want to make the place look good so that it can attracts other youngsters.
''I am also planning to change the pitch to artificial grass from the sandy ground it is so that it can be perfect for young players to show their talents.''
