Super Eagles star in race for prestigious Belgium golden shoe

Genk striker Paul Onuachu is among a long list of 15 players in the running for the prestigious Golden Shoe Award presented to the best player in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League yearly.

Onuachu’s nomination is thanks to his 15 goals thus far this season.


His exploits have been widely acclaimed with many tipping him to finish as Goal King of Belgium and thus follow in the footsteps of fellow Nigeria strikers Tosin Dosunmu and Joseph Akpala.

Last season, the 26-year-old giant striker netted nine goals in the league.

The award ceremony will be staged on January 13.
