Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has donated a coaster bus to Uyo-based Superstars Football Academy.

Chukwueze, who is still in the country for holidays decided to support the sports academy as part of his commitment to promote grassroot football in the country.

The yellow submarines winger donated the ₦30million worth bus to Superstars Football Academy to honour the owner of the academy, Victor Apugo, who mentored him after scouting him, as per Sports Brief.

The 23-year-old winger encouraged the youngsters at the academy not to give up their dream of playing at the highest level.

He also pledged his support to the academy just like he received support to make it to the highest level of European football.

“I’m so glad and humbled to donate this bus to Superstars Academy and to my boss and mentor Hon. Apugo, the Super Eagles winger said.

“He really played a key role in where I am today and there’s no better way to show appreciation to him and to God than to support him in helping other young talents reach their potentials like he helped me do.”

Chukwueze was instrumental in Villarreal's UEFA Champions League campaign last season.

He scored a crucial late equalizer against German champions Bayern Munich at the Alliaz Arena to propel Unai Emery's side to their first Champions League semi final since 2006.
