Super Eagles drop to 31st in latest FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria football team have dropped to 31st position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released on Thursday, June 23.

The latest men’s football team ranking was published on FIFA’s official website and shows the Super Eagles now occupy the fourth spot in Africa behind Senegal, Morocco and Tunisia, who are first, second and third respectively.

Sierra Leone who lost to the Eagles in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, dropped to 113th while Guinea-Bissau remained in 115th.

São Tomé and Principe, who lost 10-0 to the Eagles in the AFCON qualifiers, dropped to the 187th spot.

Brazil remains the number one team in the world while Belgium retained second place.

Argentina is now third, replacing France who is now in fourth position and England is non-movers in fifth.

Spain is in the sixth, Italy is now seventh, the Netherlands in eighth and Portugal in the ninth spot.
