Sporting Lagos battle ready for Akwa United – Ufere

Sporting Lagos midfielder, Chinedu Ufere, has revealed that the team is in good shape ahead of the clash against Akwa United.

Sporting Lagos will play away to Akwa United on matchday two of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The much-anticipated game is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.

Ufere said the team is battle-ready for the task ahead.

“We are ready for Akwa United game on Sunday,” the former Kwara United player told DAILY POST.

“We are in good shape, we have goals in us and we want to achieve greatness this season.”

Sporting Lagos recorded a 2-0 win over Gombe United in their first-ever game in the NPFL on Monday.
