English Premier League side, Liverpool are reportedly plotting a move for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.
Arne Slot, whose team are on the verge of sealing the EPL title in his first season with the Reds, has identified the Atalanta star as a key target in his summer rebuild.
According to Italian outlet Quotidiano Sportivo, the Reds could use Italy international Federico Chiesa as part of a swap deal to convince Atalanta to part ways with the in-form Super Eagles star.
Lookman has been in outstanding form for La Dea, netting 19 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions this season.
His consistency over the past two years has caught the attention of several top European clubs, but it appears Liverpool are ready to make a firm approach.
The Merseyside club had previously shown interest in Lookman last summer before ultimately signing Chiesa. However, the Italian winger has struggled for game time, which has prompted Liverpool to consider using him in a player-plus-cash deal for Lookman.
Slot, who has taken over from Jürgen Klopp, is believed to admire Lookman's goal threat, and sees the Nigerian as a perfect fit for his attacking plans at Anfield.
No formal offer has been submitted yet, but discussions are expected to progress as Liverpool look to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
