Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon has been nominated for the CAF Men's Player of the Year Award.
The 26-year-old Nantes winger was named among a 30-man shortlist released on CAF's official Twitter handle on Thursday, June 30.
Other African stars who were shortlisted for the prestigious award are Senegal's Sadio Mane, Egypt's Mo Salah, and Algeria's Riyad Mahrez.
The Super Eagles star had a decent season with Nantes last season. He guided the French club to the Coup de France title.
He scored six goals and provided eight assists in 34 league appearances for the Canaries during the 2021/22 campaign.
Simon captained the Super Eagles to record their greatest ever victory when the three-time African champions mauled Sao Tome and Principe by 10-0 in their second 2023 AFCON qualifier encounter.
The winner will be announced on July 21.
