With the captain, Ahmed Musa on the bench and Vice-captain, William Troost-Ekong side-lined with a muscle injury, Moses Simon was tasked to lead the Eagles against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday, June 13.
The Nantes winger led the Super Eagles to record their biggest ever win in history when Nigeria walloped Sao Tome by 10-0 at the Stade de Adrar stadium in Agadir, Morocco.
Moses, who scored one of the ten goals took to his Twitter after the game to express his delight to have led the Eagles to a historic win.

@ng_supereagles.An historic win for the team as well. To God be all the glory.'' The 26-year-old forward tweeted.
Moses has scored one goal and provided three assists for Nigeria in their first two qualifier matches against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome.
He has netted seven goals in 53 caps for the Super Eagles.
