Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has lauded his teammate Charles De Ketelaere following Atalanta's emphatic victory over Monza in Serie A.
The Belgian international scored twice as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side thrashed Monza 4-0 on Sunday, May 4.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring in the 11th minute before adding his second 12 minutes later. Ademola Lookman and Marco Brescianini then netted two second-half goals to complete a commanding win for La Dea.
In his post-match reaction, Lookman emphasized the importance of returning to winning ways after failing to win their last two Serie A matches.
“Scoring four goals away from home is important. We weren't happy with the home draw in the last round, and we wanted to get back to winning ways,” Lookman said, as quoted by Tutto Mercato.
The reigning African Footballer of the Year also praised De Ketelaere for his brilliant performance.
“He’s a quality player. The important thing for him is to keep his spirits up,” the Super Eagles winger concluded.
