Atalanta manager Ivan Jurić has stated that Ademola Lookman is working hard to get back to his best form.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year is yet to register a goal or an assist after being reintegrated into the team following his fallout.

Lookman has failed to make any meaningful impact in six matches since resolving his transfer issues with the Bergamo-based club.

Jurić, however, insists that the 28-year-old is working tirelessly to rediscover his best form for La Dea.

“Lookman has been working hard to get into shape. Now, aware of his qualities, we’re pushing to get him playing immediately and at his best,” Jurić said in a chat with BergamoNews.

“He’s proven to be incredibly strong. I think the team created at least 30–40 situations for him where he’s usually devastating, but now he needs to get back into form.

“The team provides him with the balls and the chances, but I’m confident that with this kind of play he’ll soon unlock his potential,” he added.

Lookman netted 20 goals across all competitions for La Dea last season.
