Italian Serie A outfit Atalanta will reportedly release Ademola Lookman on December 13 ahead of the Super Eagles preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 28-year-old featured prominently in the provisional 54-man squad unveiled by head coach Eric Chelle on Tuesday, December 2.

Lookman is expected to feature for La Dea in their Serie A clash against Cagliari on December 13 before joining the Super Eagles camp.

It remains uncertain if the former African Footballer of the Year will link up with the team on time for their high-profile pre-AFCON friendly against Egypt on December 14.

After enduring a difficult start to the new campaign due to his transfer dispute with the club, Lookman appears to have rediscovered his form from last season under new manager Raffaele Palladino.

Lookman is expected to feature in what will be his second Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
