Rohr set to start Victor Osimhen against Sierra Leone

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr is set to unleash striker, Victor Osimhen today as the Eagles face the Leone Stars.

Osimhen was the last to join the squad in training camp ahead of Friday’s Nations Cup qualifiers against Sierra Leone, Brila.net reports.

The 21-year-old also trained with the rest of his teammates on Wednesday evening and has now been declared ready for the match.

Rohr explained that players had difficulties getting flight down to Nigeria from their respective bases due to the travel restrictions around the world.

“Most of the players have difficulties in getting flights down here because of the travel restrictions. Some of them traveled via Addis Ababa in Ethiopia which was difficult,” he said.

Osimhen missed Nigeria’s friendlies in October against Algeria and Tunisia, but is expected to lead the attack against the Leone Stars.
