Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr is satisfied with the output of his charges in the recent AFCON 2021 qualifying game against Benin and Lesotho.

The Super Eagles qualified for the 2022 AFCON qualifiers beating Benin and Lesotho on Saturday and Tuesday.

The three-time African champions scored four goals in both matches and conceded nothing and also finished on top of the Group with four wins and two draws, according to Brila.net.

Rohr has expressed his satisfaction with the performances of his side during the campaign and also expressed gratitude towards the fans for their support.

“The results are very good. To win 3-0 is very good without conceding a goal. We wanted to be more solid after our two games in November and now we kept two clean sheets which is very good for the stability and balance of the team.”

“Also scoring three goals without any set pieces is also interesting, we thank Nigerians for the support, even after the two draws against Sierra Leone, they still support us”  He concluded.

Rohr has now guide Nigeria to two consecutive Africa Cup of Nations with two games to spare and the Franco-German said he’s happy with his job.

"The Afcon qualifiers is four wins and two draws, like the world cup qualifiers result. Even now we qualified before our last two games, it’s interesting, we are happy with the results. We do our job and we are efficient” he concluded.
