Rivers United is in strong contention for the NPFL title race - Aguda

Rivers united two-goal hero, Godwin Aguda has stated that the Pride of Rivers are still very much in strong contention for the NPFL title after beating Warri wolves 2-1 to move up to third on the league table 5 points behind league leaders Akwa united who they play next in Porthacourt on matchday 33.

Aguda speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that all the Port Harcourt-based side need to do is t ensure they win the next fixture against the league leaders and cut the lead down to two points going home stretch in the season.

He believes Akwa united shouldn’t get carried away yet because Rivers as well as others are right there chasing the league leaders.
