Revelation Cup: I prefer European Opponents - Waldrum

The Super Falcons head Coach, Randy says his team will make best use of the Revelation Cup, but would have preferred playing against European teams.

Nigeria, Mexico and Costa Rica are the four team taking part in the tour which kicks off later this evening.

“This tournament will be good preparations for the World Cup, because in the last five games we played the US twice, Canada twice and we Japan,” Waldrum said.

“Those are five very difficult games and I think it’s important that our team is winning and successful in the things we are trying to do. So these are games that we can some of things we have been working on,” He told NFF TV.

The Revelation Cup is part of Super Falcons preparations for the FIFA World Cup. Super Falcons are drawn in Group B of FIFA World Cup, along with Australia, Canada and Republic of Ireland.

“In some way I would like to play some European teams, because in our Group there are Canada, Ireland and Australia which play completely different style from Mexico, Costa Rica and Columbia. Haven said that, I think these matches will help to gain some success in some areas. Super Falcons will face Mexico for the opening match later tonight."
