'Remo stars will fight hard to win NPFL title' - Ogunmodede

Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede says his team is prepared to fight fiercely to win the Nigeria Premier Football League title this season.

The Sky Blue Stars will take on Rangers on Sunday (today) at the Remo Stars Stadium in their first game of the season.

The Ikenne club opening day fixture against Rivers United was postponed due to the latter’s continental engagement.

In a post on Ogunmodede’s personal X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, he said the Sky Blue Stars will go all out to achieve their objective.

“This season all we want to do is win the league, we are going to fight to move one step ahead again, to better what we have done last season, and anything short of that is not an achievement for me,” he posted.

Remo Stars came second in the NPFL last season.

Rangers defeated Doma FC 2-1 in their opening fixture of the new season.
