Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has become the English Premier League all-time top scorer in a single season following his goal against West Ham United on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old scored his 35th Premier League goal of the season in 31 appearances as Manchester City beat the Hammers 3-0 at the Etihad to return to the top of the Premier League.

The Norwegian chipped Lukasz Fabianski in the 71st minute following a fine assist from Jack Grealish to score City's second goal on the night before Phil Foden came off the bench to add the third.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has now surpassed Andrew Cole's record of 34 PL goals in the 1993/1994 season and Alan Shearer's record of the same number of goals in the 1994/1995 season.

Haaland has scored 23 goals with his left foot, 6 goals with his right foot, 6 headers, and 7 penalties.

The prolific striker has scored 4 hat-tricks while averaging a goal every 71.5 minutes.
