Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers' hope of returning to the Jupiler Pro League has hit a snag according to the latest reports.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Club Brugge following his disappointing spell at the newly promoted Serie A side.
Belgian daily publication, Het Nieuwsblad reports that Club Brugge have held talks with the Nigerian striker over a possible return to the Belgium League.
Despite embracing the idea, the move is bound to fail as FIFA rule doesn't permit one player to feature for three clubs in a season.
Dessers began the season at KRC Genk where he netted three goals in his first three League matches before securing a move to Cremonese in the summer.
The Dutch-born Nigerian has failed to replicate that performance after netting 3 goals in 16 Serie A outings.
The ex-Feyenoord striker can however join Brugge in the summer.
