English club side, Wolverhampton Wanderers have instructed their players to stop posing for selfies or sign autographs because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Reports also claimed that the Wolves have also urged the players to reduce Public engagements as the effect of the virus continues to increase in the UK.

Recall that MyNIgeria.com reported that fellow PL side Newcastle United, placed a ban on handshakes in training ground as a preventive measure against the deadly virus.

The deadly virus, which was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, has killed more than 3,000 people globally.

Wolves released an official statement on wolves.co.uk which read: "Wolves players and staff have been asked to avoid any unnecessary meetings, lunches or other public engagements, and temporarily avoid casual fan interaction such as selfies or autographs.

"Whilst we acknowledge that this will be disappointing for some supporters, we stress that this a temporary measure to protect the ongoing well-being of the Wolves squad and is a decision which has not been taken lightly.

"In addition, Wolves players and staff are also being instructed to avoid shaking hands where a warm smile and personal greeting will suffice."
