Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has disclosed that he expects a difficult game against Portugal in next week’s international friendly.

Moffi, who netted a goal in Nigeria’s 3-0 win over Jamaica in the final of the Unity Cup, was also on target as the Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw against Poland in Wednesday’s international friendly.

In the 23rd minute of the game, FC Porto striker Terem Moffi scored the first goal for the Super Eagles, finishing off a brilliant pass from Moses Simon.

Nigeria dominated but failed to defend a corner kick, allowing Nicola Zalewski’s strike past goalkeeper Maduka Okoye to restore parity just before halftime.

Paul Onauchu made no mistake in converting a penalty after a Polish player handled the ball in the box to make it two.

The Eagles thought they had secured the win, but Przemyslaw Wisniewski scored the equalizer for the host with a 25-yard strike deep into stoppage time.

In a chat with Brila FM, the Nigerian international stated that he was impressed with the team’s display against Poland but warned that Portugal will be very difficult.

“We had a good game against Poland, and I am happy I scored.

“However, I think Portugal Will be a difficult test for the Super Eagles.”

After Wednesday’s clash, Nigeria will shift their attention to another friendly game against World Cup-bound Portugal on June 10.

The Super Eagles, though not featuring at the 2026 World Cup, are using the friendly matches to test tactics and new players ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
