Pogba shines despite United's loss

Manchester United may have lost to bottom table ream Watford with a poor performance yesterday but the fans will be delighted with the display of midfielder, Pau Pogba, who only returned to the first team after about 3months out due to injury.

As promised by Ole Gunner Solskjaer, the Frenchman sure does looked like a new signing with the former Juventus player recoding more shots that the entire squad after he was introduced when United was trailing by two goals in the second half.

In the 26 minutes Pogba was on the pitch United had 10 shots compared with seven in the first 64.

His long-range through balls and clipped passes in behind stretched the defence, giving Solskjaer’s pacey forwards a chance to stretch their legs even against deep-lying opponents.

A damning statistic - under the Norwegian United have won 73 per cent of the Premier League games in which they have had less than 50% possession and 36% of those they have held more than 50%.

The questions however still remains whether Ole is the right man to captain the United ship back to glory land.
