Chairman of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick blames the exclusion of some high profile players for the Eagles 1 - 0 loss to Algeria.
The NFF President, however, reiterates that there were some positives to be taken from the clash.
In an Instagram post, Pinnick said: "Nigeria Vs Algeria - Not a great game but indeed a great future, truly we missed the super, imposing and majestic presence of ARIBO, ETEBO, OSINMEH ESPECIALLY WINFRED NDIDI. IN GOD WE TRUST."
Ramy Bensebaini’s sixth-minute strike was enough for the current African champions to secure a second consecutive win over Nigeria, Soccernet.ng said.
It was a lethargic performance from the Super Eagles with fans putting most of the blame on German-born manager, Gernot Rohr.
The Super Eagles, however, get the chance to bounce back from the loss to Algeria, when they take on Tunisia in another international friendly on Tuesday.
