Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume for their exceptional feat at the 2022 World Athletics Championship held in Oregon, USA.

Tobi Amusan became the first Nigerian athlete to win a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships after finishing first in the semi-finals of the women's 100m hurdles.

The 25-year-old also smashed the previous world record of 12.20secs set by Keni Harrison of the United States in 2016 by clocking a new time of 12.12secs.

Ese Brume on the other end clinched a silver medal after leaping 7.02 metres in the women's long jump, upgrading her previous feat of a bronze medal in 2019, Doha, Qatar.

In a tweeted statement, the Portuguese gaffer congratulated the duo for their astonishing feat saying that is the ambition he wishes to see in Nigeria.

President Buhari, Usain Bolt, and many others across the globe have all joined in to celebrate Amusan for her latest achievement.
