Paris Saint-Germain are still exploring the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen this summer, despite reports suggesting that initial talks with Napoli have collapsed.
Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio indicates that the Ligue 1 champions are ready to return to the negotiation table, provided that Napoli is willing to lower their asking price for the Nigerian international.
Napoli recently reduced Osimhen's release clause to £100 million, but PSG remains unsatisfied with this figure.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi views the £100 million as excessive.
Initially, Napoli had sought the full £130 million release clause, but the asking price was adjusted when it became clear that potential buyers were unwilling to meet the full amount.
The prolonged negotiations have reportedly left Osimhen frustrated, leading him to consider a move to Saudi Arabia, where he has received lucrative offers from clubs like Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal.
Italian outlet Tutto Napoli adds that Osimhen feels trapped by his lucrative contract and that while Napoli may be willing to negotiate on the release clause, they are unlikely to agree to a sale at a reduced price.
