PECAN Table Tennis Tournament holds in Lagos

No less than 36 members of the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN) participated in the maiden edition of the Pest Controller’s Table Tennis Tournament held at the Eko Club, Surulere-Lagos.

According to the organizers of the event, the tournament was staged to commemorate 2022 World Pest Day and to create more awareness about pest control in the country.

Speaking at the event, PECAN president, PCO Kunle Williams, commended the organizers for hosting of the tournament, describing it as the right thing in the right direction.

“I want to commend the organizer of this event; it is the right thing in the right direction. This has brought the association together and it has also created awareness in the industry to commemorate world pest day. In the spirit of sportsmanship, we wish this kind of event becomes an annual one,” Williams said.

In his address, one of the organizers, Tolu Caleb, MD Rotimax Integrated Service Ltd said the tournament was significant as a way to raise people’s alertness about pest control in their environment.

At the end of the one-day event, trophies, medals as well as gifts were presented to the winners and runners-up in the various categories.
