Osimhen shines again, reaches milestone surpassing Messi, Benzema

Napoli claimed another three points to boost their title chance, following the 2-0 win against Sassuolo on Friday at the Mapei Stadium.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened scoring in the 12th minute before Victor Osimhen added a second, twenty-one minutes later.

The goals increased Osimhen’s goal tally to 18 this Serie A season and his seventh consecutive goal.

He has also reached 101 career goals in 197games for club and country, a record that sees him eclipse Lionel Messi (210), Karim Benzema (235) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (245) by reaching the milestone in lesser games.

For his team Napoli, the win also stretches their winning streak to seven straight games and they’ve conceded just 2goals in that time.
