Osimhen not for sale amid Europe, Saudi interests

Turkish giants Galatasaray are not ready to entertain any offers for star striker Victor Osimhen, despite growing interest from clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Osimhen has emerged as a potential transfer target for Barcelona and Arsenal, with Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, reportedly meeting with the Turkish club’s management last weekend.

The 27-year-old has been in prolific form for Galatasaray, and his consistent performances have fuelled long-standing speculation about a move to the Premier League over the past three summer transfer windows.

While Berta is said to have travelled to Turkey for talks with Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek, Barcelona are also understood to be preparing a bid in the region of €100m for the Nigerian forward.

After a successful loan spell, during which he led the club to a domestic double, Galatasaray signed him permanently from Napoli for €75m

The club have reportedly placed a €150m valuation on the player, though sources in Turkey suggest this figure is intended to ward off potential suitors.

Victor Osimhen has interest from Europe and Saudi Arabia; however, there is no official offer so far. Galatasaray are not considering a sale, and Osimhen has no intention of leaving. He is happy at Galatasaray. Okan Buruk is building next season’s plans around him,” Turkish journalist Arda Özkurt said via Peşindeyiz Galatasaray.

HT Spor journalist Oguz Altay shared a similar view.

“There is talk that Barcelona and Arsenal are discussing figures around €150m. However, Galatasaray’s position is to do whatever it takes to keep Osimhen at the club.”

After being sidelined for nearly a month due to an arm injury, Osimhen returned to the starting lineup on Sunday and delivered another standout performance in Galatasaray’s 3–0 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Intercontinental Derby. The match was reportedly attended by scouts from several European giants, including Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Juventus.

The striker opened the scoring just before half-time, reacting quickly to finish from close range, before his side sealed a dominant win that strengthened their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

He now has 13 goals and four assists in 20 league appearances this season, following an outstanding previous campaign in which he scored 37 goals in 41 matches.
