Osimhen hails Napoli's mentality after Empoli win

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has praised his team's mentality following their 2-0 victory against Empoli in the Serie A on Tuesday, November 8.

The Partenopeans recorded another victory at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium to open an eight-point gap at the top of Serie A.

It was the first time Osimhen didn't find the back of the net in the league after returning from his five-week-long injury.

Despite not finding the back of the net, the 23-year-old won the penalty which was converted by Hirving Lozano in the 69th minute to give Spalletti's side a one-goal lead, before Zielinski added a second in the 88th minute.

After the game, the Super Eagles striker took to his social media to commend the Napoli players for their ability to squeeze out a win in what was proving to be a difficult game for the Naples-based side.

"Top Notch Mentality From The Boys,We Keep It Moving???? @sscnapoli", the ex-Lille striker wrote on Twitter.

The win means Napoli remains the only unbeaten side in the Serie A this season with 12 wins and 2 draws after 14 matches.

Osimhen has managed 8 goals in 10 Serie A outings so far this season.
