Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has hailed Harry Maguire following Manchester United's stunning victory against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, October 19.

The Red Devils secured their first victory at Anfield since 2016 under Louis van Gaal, courtesy of Harry Maguire's late winner.

Bryan Mbeumo gave the visitors an early lead under two minutes, before Cody Gakpo equalized for the Reds in the 78th minute.

Maguire restored Manchester United's lead six minutes later with a header, giving Ruben Amorim's side their first back-to-back Premier League victories since May 2024.

After the game, Asisat Oshoala took to her social media to shower encomiums on the England defender.

It was the fourth consecutive defeat for the Reds across all competitions, following losses to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, and Chelsea.

From Manchester United's perspective, it marked the first back-to-back wins for Ruben Amorim since taking over the reins of the club from Erik ten Hag in 2024.
