Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu scored four goals as Genk convincingly beat Sporting Charleroi 4-1 on Friday.

The Super Eagles forward saw his run of scoring in four straight games halted when he fired blank against Michele last weekend.

The striker however returned to the scoring sheet against Charleroi, scoring all the four goals that gave Genk three points at the Cegaka Arena.

Onuachu scored his first from the penalty spot in the ninth minute before he doubled the advantage in the 35th minute to put Genk 2-0 up at halftime.

He got his first hat trick of the season in the 75th minute and added the fourth in the stoppage time.

He has now scored 12 goals in his last seven matches in the league, despite a shaky start to the season.

The former Midtjylland player who failed to score in his first six games is now the leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler league with 12 goals, three ahead of Mario Gonzalez of Oh Leuven.
