Kwara United striker, Michael Ohanu is delighted with the progress of his side in the ongoing Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)

The Ilorin based side have been in a good run of form, thank to Ohanu who has scored seven goals and providing two assists.

The former MFM FC and Sunshine Stars striker is only behind Jude Stephen on list striker with most goal involvement for the Harmony Boys this season, Brila.net reports.

His latest strike came in the 2-0 win over Nasarawa United at Ilorin Township Stadium on Sunday and it was enough to help his team keep their lead on top of the table going into the mid-season break.

In a chat with brila.net, Ohanu said he’s happy to see his season going as planned after enduring a turbulent time with Sunshine Stars last season.

“I’m so happy with how the season is going for me and for the team,” he told brila.net.

“I went into the campaign full of hope, and I’m happy things are beginning to take shape and I’m showing my qualities again.”

“It hasn’t been easy, I must confess, because strikers are judged by the number of goals they score and when goals aren’t coming, then you begin to hear all sort of things.”

“I’m grateful to the coach, fans, and my teammates and I hope we finish the season on high as we started,” he told brila.net.
