OFFICIAL: Pinnick to step down next month

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick has officially declared his intention not to contest for a third term in office.

The 51-year-old football administrator made the disclosure at the NFF Congress in Lagos on Thursday, August 18.

The ex-1st Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), thanked the Congress for their support over the last 8 years.

“As I stand before you today, I want to thank the Congress for what they have done for Nigeria football in the last 8 years. I want to leave the Congress as one unit the way it was handed to me in 2014.

“I want to say it here that I am not going to contest for the NFF President again.”

Amaju Pinnick was elected president of the NFF in September 2014. He was re-elected for another four-year term in 2018.
