Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has joined the Super Eagles’ camp, bringing the total number of players currently in camp to 21.

The PSL-based shot-stopper returns to the team after being absent for a while due to a lack of game time.

Nwabali’s arrival in Ikot Ekpene, where the team is currently lodging, was confirmed by the Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe.

The 30-year-old will now compete with Udinese shot-stopper Maduka Okoye for a starting spot in the Super Eagles team.

Nwabali last featured for Nigeria in January during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

He later terminated his contract with Chippa United in February and was without a club for a long spell before rescinding his decision and rejoining the Chilli Boys after six months without a club.
