Nobody is impressed — Mbappe reacts to beating Messi and Ronaldo to goal milestone

France captain Kylian Mbappe targets a bigger milestone after becoming the second-youngest player to reach the 400-goal mark.

Kylian Mbappé recently hit the 400-career-goal mark during France’s 4-0 win over Ukraine in a 2026 World Cup qualifier; however, he believes that people are unimpressed by that number, as there are players with more than double that figure.

France beat Ukraine 4-0 to clinch a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kylian Mbappe scored a second-half brace, taking his career tally to 400 across goals for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Les Bleus.

He was informed of his fresh milestone after the match, and he brushed it off, explaining that he had yet to hit an impressive mark.

“400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more,” he noted. “There is one with 950+ goals and another with 900+; 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people.”

Despite his reaction, Mbappé has achieved an incredible feat; he is the second-youngest player (26 years old) in history, behind only Pelé, to hit 400 goals.

Evidently, he wants more, eyeing the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have 894 and 953 career goals, respectively. The Portuguese and Argentine had to wait until they were 28 and 27 to reach that mark.
