Nigerians have celebrated ex-international Sunday Oliseh with a memorable throwback photo of when he came up against Diego Armando Maradona at the 1994 World Cup in the United States.

The ex-Super Eagles defender turned 48 on Wednesday, September 14.

According to some fans, the photo reminds them of the ex-Super Eagles captain's faithful service to his country in an international career that spanned from 1993 to 2002.

Nigeria lost 2-1 to the Maradona-led Argentine team in the group phase of the 1994 FIFA World Cup, courtesy of Claudio Caniggia's brace.
