Nigerian striker Olanrewaju joins Sivasspor on loan from Shakhtar

Nigeria striker, Kayode Olanrewaju, has joined Turkish Super Lig side, Sivasspor, on a season long loan from Ukraine club Shakhtar Donetsk.

The striker who scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 27 league games for Turkish side Gaziantep in the 2019/20 season completed the signing on Thursday.

The former Manchester City player completed his medicals with the club at the Altunizade Hospital where he had detailed blood tests, orthopedics, lung and cardiac tests as well as radiological controls according to a club statement.

Olanrewaju signed the official contract at a signing ceremony attended by the club’s Deputy President, Erdal Sar?lar.

The Nigerian will be hoping to make his debut for the club when they visit Erzurumspor in a Turkish Super Lig fixture on Sunday.

Sivasspor lost their first league game of the season at home 2-0 against Alanyaspor and will be hoping that the acquisition of Olanrewaju will add the needed bite to the team’s attack in the coming games.
