Nigerian players inspires confidence for a promising future - Sodje

Former Nigeria international, Sam Sodje has applauded the current crop of Super Eagles players stating that their performance at club level has the tendency to inspire a promising national team.

Speaking in an exclusive chat on Brila.net, Sodje said he is hopeful about the future of the Super Eagles.

He added that the team looks so strong on paper considering the performance of the players at club level and he can only hope that the Super Eagles are able to transform what they look like as a proposition on paper to real force to be a top side on the field of play.

“We’ve got a bunch of players at the moment coming through and Nigeria as a nation should be proud and happy for the future. Coming to all these games I think we should be positive. On paper, we are the top side but we need to turn up and perform on the pitch. I hope Gernot Rohr understands that the players he has at the moment are top quality and unbelievable.”
