Nigeria's Yemisi Akintoye has been appointed as the referee for the Africa Women's Cup of Nations semi-final clash between Algeria and Malawi.

The high-stakes encounter will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off slated for 6:00 pm Nigerian time.

The penultimate encounter will be the second game Akintoye will officiate at the 2026 WAFCON.

Her first match was the Group A encounter between Senegal and Kenya on Thursday, July 30.

Akintoye only made her debut at the current edition of WAFCON.

The young referee was listed as a FIFA referee in 2021 and has officiated matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL), CAF Women's Champions League, WAFU B competitions and FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers.
