Nigeria ready to challenge England for 18-year-old PSV starlet Noni Madueke

Nigerian Football Federation who are in charge of all soccer activities in the west African nation are now ready to convince PSV star Noni Madueke to play for the Super Eagles.

Since joining PSV from Tottenham, the attacking midfielder has been superb playing 11 games so far and has scored four goals which is an incredible performance.

Noni Madueke who is of Nigerian descent has represented England at youth level in both the U-16s and the U-19s.

He was born in England, but Noni Madueke can still play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria because his parents are Nigerians.

Madueke left Spurs to join PSV in June 2018 rejecting Manchester United in the process and impressed for their youth sides before making it to the first team last term.

According to the report on Complete Sports, the NFF are ready to make sure that they get Madueke to play for the three-time African champions.

Over the years, the Nigerian Football Federation have failed in their efforts to convince some players to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria even though they have also succeeded in making many to wear the Nigerian jersey.

NFF tried their best to convince the likes of Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori of Chelsea and also Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, but they all chose England.

However, the likes of Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses snubbed England to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.


Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ola Aina was among the scorers when Fulham recorded their first Premier League win of the season.

The newly-promoted side defeated former Championship rivals West Brom by 2-0 at Craven Cottage to ease the pressure on manager Scott Parker.

Ademola Lookman's long-range effort was the closest Fulham got on goal as chances were few and far between.

It took 26 minutes for the Cottagers to score their first goal through Boby Reid with an assisted pass from Aleksandar Mitrovic to make it 1-0.

Four minutes later, Aina scored the goal of the game with a one-touch pass with his teammates as Mitrovic teed him up with the last touch before unleashing a shot with his favorite left foot to make it 2-0.
