Nigeria awaits World Badminton Federation on Olympic qualifiers

The President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Francis Orbi has encouraged players and coaches alike to countinue to give their all even as the country awaits the World Badminton Federation modalities for qualification for the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Speaking to Brila.net, Orbi revealed that the Federation has been monitoring players and the coaches just to continue to give them messages of hope and ensure they are working to keep their shape.

He also added that the Federation will know how to plan moving forward as regards the last qualifying window for Badminton.

“Everybody is on hold the coaches are monitoring them, going forward with regards to qualifiers we are waiting for the BWF all they said is world ranking is frozen and then they will eventually come out and let us know this is where we are.

Are we going to cut off qualifiers from where we are or they give another one more window.”
