Netherlands are strong contenders for the World Cup - Peseiro

Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro has described Denzel Dumfries as an extraordinary talent following his performance for Netherlands against United States in the FIFA World Cup round of 16 match, last Saturday.

The full back was the man of the match for Louis Van Gaal’s side for his goal and two assists in the 3-1 win against the US MNT to book a last 8 spot.

Reacting to Netherlands’ win over USA, Peseiro posted on Twitter: “Fair win for the Netherlands and a good response by USA. Great play by the Dutch in the first goal. Dumfries was MOTM (2 assists and 1 goal).

“Great presence by American fans in the stadium and big progress by USA. Netherlands proved to be contenders for the world title.”

Dumfries and his teammates will lock horns with Lionel Messi’s Argentina side for a place in the last four.
